Student Rights and Responsibilities

Children have the right to learn in an environment that allows them to receive the best education available. Students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately. To ensure a school environment conducive to learning, the Fairfax County School Board has defined the rights and responsibilities of students in the elementary school.  A copy of the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook (Regulation 2601), will be sent home the first month of school and is available in the school office as well as online at www.fcps.edu.  Students at Annandale Terrace are expected to follow these guidelines, as well as all school and class rules.  Please review the rules with your children at home, sign the page in the front of the handbook, and have your children return it to their teachers. Our teachers will also review the rules with students in the classroom.
