On Friday, February 21, the Just World Interact Club at Annandale High School will host the 19th annual Just World Festival from 4-6 pm in the Annandale HS Cafeteria. The theme for this year’s Just World festival is "Confidence in Culture." The festival aims to inspire youth that they are not only a part of their local community but a global one as well. We want to educate the community about global and environmental issues, fair trade, human rights, equality, and most importantly, social action. The keynote speaker will be State Department diplomat Marion Ekpuk, who has served in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Benin, Afghanistan, Mexico, and the Netherlands. There will also be community service activities, art projects, an exhibition hall with Annandale HS clubs and local community organizations, food for sale, and raffle prizes.
