Last week at Annandale Terrace Elementary School, we are celebrated some incredible staff members who have been nominated for FCPS Employee Awards!

Outstanding New Teacher: Mr. Abourakty

We’re shining a spotlight on Mr. Joseph Abourakty, also known as "Mr. A", our amazing 5th-grade teacher, nominated as an Outstanding New Teacher. Mr. A is a dedicated team lead who ensures everything runs smoothly while always advocating for his students. Congratulations, Mr. A! We’re so grateful to have you as part of the ATES family!

Outstanding Operational Employee: Mrs. Rogers

Mrs. Cindy Rogers, our wonderful administrative assistant, has been recognized as an Outstanding Operational Employee. She consistently goes above and beyond to support both students and staff at ATES. Congratulations, Mrs. Rogers, and thank you for all that you do!

Next, we celebrate Ms. Eva Pacilio-Lee, a beloved Kindergarten teacher, nominated as our Outstanding Teacher. She creates an inclusive and nurturing classroom where every student feels valued and supported. Ms. Pacilio-Lee, your care for students—past and present—makes such a difference. Congratulations!

Outstanding Professional Employee: Mrs. Puranen
