Candice Raynor

Assistant Principal, ES

Candice Raynor was born and raised in FCPS! She attended Fairfax County Public Schools as a child and taught here after graduating from Virginia State University. With 12 years of teaching experience in Fairfax County Public Schools, at Hybla Valley Elementary School, and Mount Vernon Woods Elementary School, Mrs. Raynor has developed a strong foundation in creating an inclusive, engaging, and positive learning environment. 

While teaching, Mrs. Raynor served as the Team Lead for her grade-level Collaborative Learning Team, a mentor for novice teachers, and a Lead Mentor for the school. She also served as the After-school and Saturday school administrator among other roles and responsibilities.

After earning her Masters degree in Administration and Supervision from The University of Virginia, Mrs. Raynor transitioned to Prince William County Public Schools for two years, where she supported principals in ensuring the successful implementation of a high-quality English Learner program. In this role, she utilized her expertise in educational leadership and curriculum development to enhance program outcomes, provide targeted professional development, and drive continuous improvement across the district.

Mrs. Raynor enjoys sewing, crocheting, reading, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and dog.
