Annandale Terrace Elementary School was one of nine recognized at the 2024 FCPS School Communicators Conference. ATES was honored with the FCPS 2024 Most Outstanding Elementary School Website award. Congratulations to our talented school-based technology specialist and web curator, Ms. Ashley Ireland, whose dedication and expertise made this achievement possible. We truly appreciate all she does to maintain and enhance our website!

Ms. Ireland, Principal Ms. Ingrid Badia, Assistant Principal Ms. Candice Raynor, and Assistant Principal Ms. Nicole Scher received the recognition at the February 29, 2025, conference at Robinson Secondary. The following excerpt was read as the team received the award.

The Annandale Terrace Elementary School website shines as a community engagement hub, consistently keeping families informed with a translatable, web-responsive, and accessible family handbook webpage. Its Come Work With Us page — which has an embedded video of staff saying why their school is a fantastic place to work — offers a warm and inviting glimpse into the school community while supporting staff recruitment efforts. The site spotlights art, music, physical education, and other specials, giving viewers a glimpse of what students learn in each grade throughout the year.
